GLAMISHA: Facewash & Skin Lightening Cream Review

Hello Readers,

Recently i came across a new brand Glamisha. Based in Mumbai the brand brings you luxury beauty and personal care products. All their product have pure ingredients, essential oils and extract, which are used to make their product highly effective and yet gentle.

Today i am going to review two products from Glamisha – A face wash & Skin Lightening Cream.

I know i have been a little late in reviewing these products. But i wanted to put a down a genuine review. So i used these products for a good 2-3 weeks and i now i am super ready to review it for you all 🙂

Lets start with the review of face wash first 🙂

Glamisha Face wash with Mulberry and Licorice Extract-

Packaging –  The face wash comes inside a white squeezable tube with a black flip cap. The tube comes inside a cardboard  box. All the information has been mentioned both on the box and the tube.

Appearance –  The face wash is transparent gel type and has light blue undertones. It has medium consistency. The smell is a bit strong but refreshing. Honestly i dont like strong smell products but i love the fragrance of this one.

Ingredients The face wash is paraben free. But contains SLS & SLES.

Price 350rs for 100ml

Shelf Life  2years from mfg date

My Experience – With ingredients like Mulberry and licorice i was kinda excited to try the facewash. So as soon i got the products i started using them. The face wash is extremely gentle on the face and creates just the right amount of lather. A small peanut size amount is all you need. But If i am coming home after a long day then usually i require a little more amount of face wash. It does the cleansing well without irritating the skin. It removes dirt and oilyness enhancing the appearance of skin. It makes my skin soft and supple without excessive drying. Mulberry extract present in the facewash acts as a super anti anging agent. Licorice extracts are rich in anti oxidants. They impart a healthy glow to the skin. Overall a good facewash.

GLAMISHA Skin Lightening Cream with kojic acid dipalmitate & Arbutin Review

Packaging – The Skin Lightening Cream comes inside a white squeezable tube with a black flip cap. The tube comes inside a cardboard  box. All the information has been mentioned both on the box and the tube.

Appearance – The cream is white in colour and has a medium consistency. It has a strong but soothing refreshing fragrance and the fragrance lasts upto quite some time. Say about an hour.

Ingredients –  It is Paraben free. Contains SLS.

 Price 975rs for 100gm.

 Shelf life 17months.

My experience –  I use this cream after washing my face with Glamisha’s Face wash. On applying the cream it takes a while to get fully absorbed into the skin. The cream needs to be massaged properly so that it doesn’t leaves any whitish cast on the skin. Its texture turns bit matte when you start applying it and hence it needs to be massaged thoroughly to help it get absorbed into the skin. My skin feels so soft after applying it. It makes my skin appear a little fair and healthy also. I did not notice any major oilyness on my skin after applying it. Also the fragrance of the cream stays on for quite some time which i love it. Both Kojic Acid Dipalmitate and Arbutin present in the cream acts a skin whitening and Lightening agent. Kojic acid also helps with dark spots and sun damage. I think this will work best for oily skin beauties.

So thats all 🙂 If you have any questions or suggestions  about the products do comment below.

TBC by Nature: Sunblock Everyday Mattifying Cream SPF 30+

One of the things i hate about hot summer sun is the damage it does to the skin. My skin gets super oily and tanned as soon as i head out in hot sun. Which means, if i apply a sunscreen/sunblock cream while heading out, my skin tends to get more oily and sticky. Therefore i prefer not to apply anything on my face. But one must also know that a sunscreen/sunblock cream  is a must to protect the skin from sun damage. I have tried a number of suncreens and sunblocks but nothing seems to suit my skin. Everyday there is this constant fight in my mind  whether to or not to apply. On one side i hate getting my skin oily and on the other side i also fear my skin getting damaged. I am sure many of you might be facing the same issue as me. But hey, look i have found the solution —>

Sunblock Everyday Mattifying Cream SPF 30+ from TBC by Nature

Recently TBC by Nature has come up with suncare range and one of the product from their suncare range is this Sunblock Everyday Mattifying cream Spf 30+ with organic carrot oil & grape juice.

About the product / Direction of use / Ingredients –

 The product is

  • Organic
  • Not tested on Animals
  • 100% veg
  • Fragrance free
  • LLP, Silicon, PABA free
  • Eco Certified

Packaging : It comes in tube with a flip cap. The tube comes inside a cardboard box. All the information has been mentioned both on the tube as well as cardboard box. Love the colour and the floral design on the tube.
The Sunblock cream is white in colour and has medium consistency.

Priced at 349rs for 120g

My Experience –

I was very excited to use this cream as it has the words ‘ mattifying’ on it.  As for all the oily skin beauties the word mattifying is the key. The cream is light in weight and doesn’t feels heavy on the skin. It needs to be massaged properly in order to get it completely absorbed by the skin. It doesn’t makes the skin oily nor leaves a whitish cast And also keeps my skin hydrated. My face looks a little radiant after applying this. But the radiant effect vanishes after a few hours. Zinc oxide & titanium dioxide present in the cream are very effective in protecting the skin from UV rays. The cream also contains organic carrot oil & grape juice to fight against aging effects of the sun on skin. Overall a good product. Totally recommended.

Ingredients –

My Experience  I have been using this face wash for a week now and find it good for my acne prone skin. When i use the face wash in morning I take a peanut size amount and it is enough for my entire face. But it doesn’t creates heavy foam. It just forms mild foam which is actually good. That way it wont dry out your skin excessively. It cleanse the skin well, driving away all the oilyness. My skin feels fresh and thoroughly cleaned after using this face wash. It also has small scrub beads which helps in exfoliating the skin gently. The scrub beads are very tiny and so they are extremely gentle on the skin. When i come back home from hot sun then i usually require more amount of face wash to clean entire days dirt and oily ness. But the face wash does the job well. It keeps away oilyness and at the same time wont dry your skin. So it is good for both dry and oily skin types. Also the face wash is soap free so its effective but gentle on your skin at the same time.

Overall a good face wash and i recommend it totally. I dont find any such cons in this product. Everthing from packaging to its usage is pretty good.

  • Contains Tea tree oil, turmeric , Aloe Vera gel
  • Gentle on skin
  • Effective
  • Soap free
  • Decently priced
  • Travel friendly packaging
  • No chemicals
  • Good for all skin types

Ethicare Remedies UV Med Sunscreen gel SPF 50 Review

Even though monsoons have set in, the sunlight is very harsh during the afternoon hours. And therefore wearing a sunscreen is a must if you are heading out. I dont usually apply sunscreens because they only make my skin oily and chip chip. To be honest i have used sunscreen just 2-3 times. The moment i felt they make my skin oily i stopped using sunscreens. I usually apply lacto calamine lotion while heading out and now i mostly use the caladew lotion from Ethicare remedies. I love it.

So Last week i got a UV Med Sunscreen gel from the brand Ethicare Remedies. Here have a look.

The sunscreen comes in a yellow coloured tube with a flip cap which is tight enough and that makes the packaging travel friendly. The tube comes inside a cardboard box.

The sunscreen is beige coloured and has a thick consistency. It is cream based and not a gel. It is slightly fragranced nothing overpowering though. Priced at 349rs for 50ml.

    Ingredients & Direction of use

    My Experience
First of all the sunscreen is not a gel. Its cream based. I dont know why they have called it sunscreen gel. Again the sunscreen is not tinted. It doesnt gives full coverage. However it spreads easily on the skin & gets absorbed quickly. You dont have to struggle with it. Its extremely light weight and doesnt makes my face heavy. However i felt it a bit oily on my skin. But Nothing greasy type. It doesnt gives a matte finish as claimed by the brand. Again it has fragrance so the fragrance free claim by the brand is also not true. The fragrance though is not overpowering and vanishes after an hour of application. People with dry skin will love it.  Oily skin types can give this product a try because its not too much oily. Its a good sunscreen as compared to other sunscreens that i have tried.

Ethicare Remedies : Caladew Calamine Lotion Review

    Hello Readers 🙂
We all are familiar with Calamine Lotion. It is widely used for protecting skin against minor infections like itching, pain, insect bite, rashes, sunburn and even acne.
Recently i received a calamine lotion called Caladew from Ethicare Remedies.

    What the product says ?
Caladew lotion with its balanced formulation offers soothing- cooling action and gives relief in skin conditions like prickly heat, insect bite, itching, sunburn, nappy rash etc

    Zinc oxide
    Cucumber extract
    Aloe vera
    Silicon oil

    Price 81rs for 75ml
Best Before 36 months from mfg date

The packaging is simple and pink tube with screw cap looks very pretty.
The lotion is pastel pink coloured and has a runny consistency.

My Experience: I have used calamine lotion before but they had thick consistency as compared to this caladew lotion which is quite runny. So when i was using the caladew lotion i ended up with excess lotion on my palms. Without even squeezing the tube the lotion comes out. When i applied the lotion it was easy to spread it but it takes a while to get completely absorbed into the skin. It gives a whitening effect to the skin, a matte finish.

Just two drops of the lotion are enough for the entire face. When ever i head out in sun i apply this because it prevents my face from getting tanned and oily. Many a times i use it as a base under my makeup so that my face doesnt looks dull and shiny. The lotion contains zinc oxide which helps in treating acne. When i am at home i just apply it on my pimples it reduces the redness of it. Overall a good product. People with oily skin are going to love this. Though people with dry skin may not like it much.

Ethicare Remedies Acmed Facewash (For oily and acne prone skin) Review

Hello Readers today i am reviewing a face wash from the brand ethicare remedies.
Founded in 2003 Ethicare Remedies have launched innovative & quality products for skin, hair and body. Each product is designed specially keeping in mind of high quality, best performance & customer satisfaction. And of course all are pocket friendly too. Moreover the products are dermatologically tested.

So last week the brand sent me a summer kit containing 4 products. One of the product is the Acmed face wash. I decided to try the facewash.Since my readers wanted me to review it first.

    What the Product Claims?
Acmed face wash is used to cure acne which cleanses excess oil, dirt and dead skin. Tea tree oil used in Acmed ensures anti-bacterial action against bacteria common to pimple prone skin. Acmed also has a breakthrough innovation like pimple care globules that you can actually see penetrating in your skin while you wash your face, ensuring proper delivery of pimple care active ingredients.

    Packaging, Price, Ingredients
The face wash comes in a transparent tube with a tight flip cap. Its transparent and has purple beads inside it. It has a medium consistency. Neither thick nor runny. It smells a bit like aloe vera. It is loaded with Tea Tree oil, vit E, D-panthenol and Aloe Vera. It is priced at 180rs.

    My Experience
I have acne prone skin so i was very much eager to try this face wash. Plus i was way excited to use it because i love its ingredients. I love products which are loaded with tea tree oil or aloe vera because these ingredients are really effective on the skin. I am using this facewash for one week now and i am pretty much comfortable with it. Its gentle on my acne prone skin & doesnt irritates my skin. Cleanse the skin well removing excess oil and dirt. I did not feel any major dryness on my skin after using it. In case your skin feels dry thats also good actually for acne and oily skin. Though i have acne i cant really comment on the acne reduction thing because acne takes time to heal. And for this the product needs to be used for a longer period. The facewash lathers decently and only a small amount is required for the entire face. With safe ingredients, safe surfactant base & slightly acidic ph Acmed is clearly safe to use.

I totally recommend this face wash.

I have acne prone skin and hence i use scrubs rarely. Because for a reason i find them harsh on my acne prone skin. I used this rose facial scrub only once and i found it very gentle on my skin. I mixed the scrub with milk to make a paste and then applied it. I kept it on for few minutes and then washed off my face. It made my skin so soft. My skin was looking cleaner and it did not irritate my skin. I did not feel the need to run and grab a moisturiser. Thats because it didn’t dry out my skin. Also i love its scent. Its very soothing. People with dry skin are going to love this scrub more. If you have oily skin try mixing this scrub only with water instead of milk and then use it.

Last week i received few products from Aroma Essentials to be reviewed on my blog. One of them was Green Tea face wash and i am going to review it today.

The face wash comes in a plastic bottle with a flip cap. It also has a stopper inside. The packaging is simple.

Ingredients: Greentea, black tea, geranium ,peppermint ,lavender aloevera juice

It is priced at 150rs. Quantity wasnt mentioned on the bottle.

Best before 6 months from mfg date.

The facewash is Brown in colour and has gel like texture.

My experience: I have acne prone skin & i am holding the right product in my hand.Green tea has some pretty cool acne clearing effects. It is one of the most natural ways to help skin appear brighter & flawless. I take a peanut size amount on my palm & massage it gently on my face in circular motions for about a minute. The face wash doesn’t forms lather which is kinda good actually. Because the more lather a product creates the more drying it is and vice versa. I felt a cooling sensation on my face while applying the face wash. After washing my face i can see my skin clean. It did not dry out or stretched out my skin. Its gentle and wont harm your skin in any way. For it to work on acne the product needs to be used continuously for longer period. I have used it for 4-5 times and find it good. It is suitable for acne prone, dry as well as oily skin types. The best part is it is free from chemicals, artificial fragrance. It is dermatologically tested & made using the finest natural ingredients.

    I totally recommend this product.

I wish ingredients & quantity were also mentioned on the bottle. So my personal rating for this product is: 4/5.
