Bekind Bodycare: Hibiscus Flower Raw & Dry ( for hair care) review

Hello Readers,

Recently i treated my hair with something new – Raw & Dry Hibiscus flower from BEKIND (to make my own hair oil).

This raw and dry hibiscus flower from BeKind Bodycare was sent to me by JasNaturals. Jas Naturals provide 100% Prime Natural and Vegan Cosmetics, Beauty Care, Bath Care, Hand Crafts and Snacks curated for the benefits of the customer and the nature in the best eco-friendly way possible.
About the product & how to prepare the hair oil:

Price: 58rs for 20gms

Best Before: Mentioned on the pack is just expiry date ie 30/4/2017. Date of packing is not mentioned. I got this product in mid march.

The product is dry hibiscus flower and it looks like this. It has smell that of dried leaves.

Some Benefits of Hibiscus flower for hair:

  • Boosts hair growth
  • Rich in vitamin C that boosts collagen
  • Anti dandruff
  • Does away with itchiness
  • Prevents premature greying
  • Has cleansing and moisturising properties

My Experience: I have come across a number of products that are enriched with hibiscus but always hesitated to use them. Since many products are laddened with chemicals. So when JasNaturals sent me this Raw & Dry hibiscus flowers for #doityourself hair oil, i was very excited to use it. I prepared the oil as directed and applied it at night twice a week. After using it for almost 3 weeks i find my hair healthier and bouncy. Also it does helps with the dandruff too. You may not notice the results in a single use. But using repeatedly will definitely give you good results. It is also said to be effective for hair loss. But i cant comment on the hairfall thing as i dont have hairfall issues. All i can say is it does makes my hair look healthier and does away with dandruff.

A good product overall and the best way to treat your hair with hibiscus.

The product is

  • Easy to prepare
  • Easy on pocket
  • Free from chemicals

Do give it a try. You are definately going to love it 🙂

Hello Readers, Today i am going to talk about a hair care product which is specially formulated for the teenage hair. Its a shampoo and conditioner from an Indian brand Fix Derma Teenilicious. So last week i received the Teenilicious Joyful Jasmine shampoo and conditioner from the brand. Here have a look.

I absolutely love the pretty and girly packaging of the products with all that floral design on the bottle/tube. They look imported and eye catching. The shampoo bottle comes with a pump dispenser cap and the conditioner comes with a flip cap. All information ( Ingredient, price, expiry) has been mentioned on the bottle/tube.

Fix Derma Teenilicious Joyful Jasmine Shampoo:

What the brand says: Fixderma Teenilicious Shampoo Gently cleanses and hydrates your dry & damaged hair. Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo with Jasmine flower extract is enriched with organic coconut milk while pro vitamin B5 repair and strengthen your hair. Exotic fragrance is like an escape to the tropics.

Fix derma Teenilicious Joyful jasmine Conditioner:

What the brand says: FixdermaTeenilicious Conditioner provides natural vitamins & antioxidants while renewing your hair’s cell structure, sealing in shine, and creating lush softness. A precious blend of Jasmine flower extract, organic coconut milk & pro vitamin B5  instantly penetrates the hair shaft restoring shine and softness while strengthening the hair. It protects from styling heat and UV damage while creating soft, seductive, silky perfection.

Price: 310rs for 150ml

My Experience: As soon as i opened the bottle i was welcomed to a smell of jasmine. The smell is not overpowering. I diluted a little qty of shampoo in water and applied to my hair. This is how i usually use my shampoo.  What i noticed is that i need large qty of shampoo to create more lather for that perfect cleaning of my hair. A little amount wont be enough especially if you have long hair. After washing, my hair did feel a little dry and therefore i used the conditioner. After using the conditioner my hair felt soft and wavy. So if you are just using the shampoo your hair may feel a little dry. My hair type is dry so may be thats why. Overall the shampoo and conditioner both are good. It cleanse the hair well and leaves it smelling awesome. They look lovely on my bathroom shelf & So eye- catchy that anybody will be tempted to use it. I always feel very lazy to wash my hair but after keeping these products on my bathroom shelf i feel like washing my  hair every now and then. I completely enjoy using these products. They can also make for a lovely gift hamper for your friend or sister.

Sand For Soapaholics ‘UNDER THE SEA’ liquid shampoo Review

Hello Readers, today i am reviewing a  Natural hair care product from a brand called Sand For Soapaholics. A week ago the brand sent me a liquid shampoo called ‘under the sea’. I was so excited to use the shampoo when it arrived.
Let me tell you that Sand for Soapaholics products are natural & made from skin friendly ingredients. So when i got the shampoo i couldn’t wait to try it. I love using Natural products.

The shampoo comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a flip cap. It is purple in colour and has a medium consistency. It smells of rosemary essential oil. I totally love the fragrance of this shampoo. It looks Delicious and smells so good that i am tempted to taste it. Suitable for all hair types this shampoo is priced at 348Rs for 60gms which is quite expensive. It has a shelf of 6 months from date of packing.

Ingredients Every 10gm contains Irish Moss Infusion (Chondrus crispus) (50.01%), Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate (9.16%), Aloe vera Leaf Gel (8.62%), Vegetable Glycerine (4.31%), Silk Protein (1.72%), Fragrance (1.72%), Ess.Oil of Rosemary Aerial part (Rosmarinus officinalis) (1.03%), Oil of Castor Seed (Ricinus communis) (0.86%), Phenoxyethanol (0.52%), Benzyl Alcohol (0.52%), Colour (0.52%) –

My Experience i oiled my hair at night and decided to wash the next morning using this shampoo. I have long hair so first i massaged a little amount of the product into my scalp but it did not lather at all. I took a little more but still it did not form the needed lather. In this process i emptied nearly half of the shampoo bottle. I was yet to clean my strands. I know natural products lather less but this shampoo did not form even a slightest lather. So it did not completely get my hair rid of oil and dirt. I think i will need the entire 60gm bottle for a one time wash to make it work on my hair. But obviously nobody is going to do that given that the shampoo is so expensive. Since it did not lather much i just used it on my scalp and washed the rest of my hair with other shampoo. Apart from this what i liked is it made my hair soft and the fragrance remains locked in the hair for a good 4-5 hours. The product is not bad its just that it doesn’t lathers and hence large amount needs to be used.

Rich fragrance
Suitable for all hair types
Makes hair soft
Fragrance remains locked in the hair for 4-5 hours

Doesn’t lathers
Very huge amount needs to be used

Final Words If your hair isn’t much dirty and oily then you can use this shampoo. People with short hair may love it.

Will i Purchase this? Well not really. Given that it is so expensive and doesn’t lathers.

Eyova Hair Nutrient With Egg Oil Review

We all know that eggs are considered as an effective treatment for hair problems. But many of us may hesitate to use egg directly on our hair because of how uncomfortable it may be and the smell ofcourse. But with Eyova you can easily get the goodness of eggs in “oil new avatar”. Reap the benefits of egg with Eyova, a natural egg oil for hair.If you are looking for an organic and effective solution for all your hair woes, Eyova Egg Oil is the way for you

What is Eyova? Eyova is a hair nutrient with Egg oil as its active component. This oil is derived from the yolk of chicken eggs and contains bioactives that heal and strengthen your hair naturally. Read more about Eyova HERE

About the Product- The oil comes in a plastic bottle with a flip cap. It is yellow in colour and has a medium consistency. Its not sticky at all and has a silky texture. It doesnt smells of eggs but i really dont like the smell. But the smell is not that bad. Priced at 590Rs for 50ml. It contains oleova, canola oil , fragrance. It helps fight hair problems like hair greying, hair loss, dandruff & dry scalp, hair damage.

Directions of use: Massage Eyova on your scalp and ensure it spreads evenly. Leave it on for 3 hours minimum or preferably overnight. Wash it off with any regular shampoo. Use it regularly, at least twice a week, for desired results.

My Experience: i have been using this oil for 2 weeks now. I use it twice a week at night. The oil is not at all oily and sticky. It gets easily absorbed into the hair. I usually apply at night and then wash my hair the next morning. My hair feels so soft and smooth. I have started loving my hair a little more. I cant really comment on the hair greying thing. But it does helps with damaged and dry hair. It works really well on my dry hair. You can see the results within two weeks. I also apply the oil on my hair roots sometimes but the oil being this expensive one cant really use it on the entire hair. Because you may end up finishing the 50ml bottle in just less than a month. The product though is really good and i totally recommend it. If used for long this oil will surely give positive results.

That’s all. If you have any queries please feel free to comment below 🙂 Thanks for reading. Hope you find my review helpful:)

Moha Anti Dandruff oil Review

All of us at some point in life face dandruff problems & try numerous anti dandruff shampoos, creams ,oils etc. But many of these products fail to give desired results, some may not suit your skin, others are too pricey. As far as possible one must always avoid  chemical ladened products because that only worsens the problem. Switch to products that are chemical free. Today i am reviewing one such Hair oil which is chemical free, affordable & effective. Its the Moha Anti Dandruff Oil.
Moha is a range of herbal skin care products enriched with rich concentration of natural, skinfriendly herbal actives. I had already introduced you guys to the brand moha in my previous blog posts where i had reviewed their footcare cream & soap. Both the products are amazing & gave desired results. I am so happy with the brand Moha, so far it hasnt disappointed me and here i am again with another review of their product.

What the brand says about the oil?
Get soft, shiny, healthy hair with this non sticky Anti dandruff hair oil. A delightful infusion of Neem, Hibiscus & rusmari oils. It effectively fights dandruff while nourishing hair naturally, strengthening the roots & preventing spilts end.

Packaging: It comes in a thick light yellow plastic bottle and has a pump dispenser. The bottle cap is very tight. This makes the entire packaging hygenic & travel friendly. The images on the bottle are that of active ingredients in the oil. The bottle comes inside a cardboard box. Everything from ingredients to price and expiry is mentioned on the bottle as well the cardboard box. The pump dispenser packaging makes it easy for even small children to use it. A big thumbs up for this kinda packaging

Colour & Smell :
Its transparent green in colour & smells of rusmari oil. Some may find the smell strong. But its not over powering.

Price: 105rs for 100ml.

Best Before- 2years from mfg date.

My Experience- I have been using this oil for a month now and find it good for my dry hair. It does not makes my scalp oily, greasy or sticky. It gets thoroughly absorbed into the hair leaving it shiny & soft. On using it regularly i did find a reduction in my dandruff. Early i use to have small white thing all over my hair which made my scalp itchy. After using this oil the condition has improved. I am not saying my hair is dandruff free but yes as compared to before i notice less dandruff. This is because the oil doesn’t makes my hair sticky & hence it attracts less dirt.

Final Words- Its a good hair oil for daily use & can be used by both men & women. Even if you dont have dandruff you can use this oil. Its affordable and easily available on Moha website. The best thing is its chemical free. I totally recommend this product.

My Personal Rating- 5/5

Smell : Not sure about the smell but it smells like lemon juice to me. The smell is nice and not over powering.
Colour: You can see in the picture its brownish in colour.

About the hair cleanser as mentioned by the brand.

My Hair Type: Dry Hair

My Experience:
When i applied the cleanser i loved the cool feeling that it gave to my scalp. It cleanse my scalp well without leaving it oily & sticky. The cleanser doesnt lathers much and you may want more amt of it for your entire hair. I being a bit kanjus hate this thing where i need to use more amount of product 😜Also i personally dont like pretty & pricey products getting over soon. Patanjali kesh kanti milk protein hair cleanser for dry hair

I had done a haul post of patanjali products few days back and few of you had asked me to do a detailed review on patanjali hair cleanser. So here i am with the review. This particular hair cleanser which i am reviewing today is specially for dry and rough hair. So if you are facing dry hair problems this review is going to be helpful for you:)

Packaging- It comes in a white plastic bottle with a flip cap. I kind of dont like the packaging of this. The flip cap is very fragile. And you need to press it hardly while closing it.

Ingredients- See the above picture where all Ingredients are mentioned behind the bottle. One thing i did not like is that it contains diazolidinyl urea. I have heard that one must avoid products that contains urea. However while googling i got to know that it is safe to use in cosmetic products at a max concentration of 0.5%.

Texture, colour & smell – Its white in colour and has a  smooth and soft texture and a nice fruity kinda smell.

Price – 95rs for 200ml (They only have 200ml bottles not bigger than this nor smaller. I wish they had a bigger one )

My Experience- What i usually do is fill the mug half with water and then put hair cleanser as required in it. This way i require less amount of hair cleanser and it lathers very easily. It gets easily spread. As i applied the fruity scent kept emerging throughout and it remains even  after i have washed my hair. In one wash i find my hair soft and smooth. It did not make my scalp oily. It makes my hair manageable. However my hair stays clean, soft and smooth only the day i wash my hair and the other day. The day after that my hair again feels dry. So i have  to shampoo my hair after every two days. Overall it is good.

Decent price
Effective for dry hair
Give smoothness and shine to hair
Good scent
Easily available

Bad packaging
Contains urea

My Rating -3/5
