Roop Mantra Zero Pimple Gel Review

Pimples have been my constant friends 😁 So i have been dealing with pimple/acne since 7-8 years. No matter what i do they (pimples) always pop up now and then. I always look out for products to get rid of pimples.

Recently i got an opportunity to try the ‘Zero Pimple Gel‘ from Roop Mantra. The product is an Ayurvedic proprietary medicine and not a cosmetic or toiletry preparation.

The product comes in a tube with screw cap. The tube in turn comes inside a cardboard box. All the information has been mentioned on the box as well as tube.

Priced at 136rs for 15g.

Availability – Nykaa, Amazon, Flipkart, Shopclues, Snapdeal, Paytm Mall, Purple, Divisa.com

Best Before 3 years from mfg date.

The product is a transparent gel and has a medium consistency. Not thick and not runny either. The product smells like that of an essential oil. The smell is very soothing.

The product is a rich blend of herbal extract of Rosemary, Tea Tree oil, Aloe Vera, Marigold, Nimbu, Fruit Peel, Green Tea, Tulsi, Neem, Cucumber, Fruit pulp, Onion, Mentha.

It also contains methyl paraben sodium and propyl paraben sodium. Both these ingredients are used as an antimicrobial preservative and are said to be non toxic.

Directions of use – Apply over properly cleansed affected area or whole face twice a day. Can be used by both men and women.

My current skin condition is oily and live acne. My review will be based upon that.

My Experience – I was very curious about this product. So i started using it as soon as i got it. Being a gel its extremely light in weight and non sticky. On applying it takes time to dry completely. I apply only on my pimples though it can be used on entire face. As soon as i get a pimple i apply the gel on it and by the next day it reduces. The gel helps in drying out the pimple and thereby helps to prevent the acne marks. However you need to apply it 2-3 times a day to get the result. You wont get any results on single use. Use it for 3-4 days twice a day then it will definitely help with the overall look of the pimple. With soothing smell and unique blend of ingredients the gel feels so good on the skin. The product is nothing like Zero Pimple but it does makes a difference. The pimples will shrink and go away but the product doesn’t prevents the pimples from popping again… It just heals them. Overall a good product.

Pros –

  • Light weight
  • Soothing smell
  • Travel friendly packaging
  • Dries out the pimple
  • Pocket friendly
  • Good Availability

Cons-

  • Contains parabens

Debon Herbals Vitamin E Cream Review

Hello Everyone,

Today i am going to review Vitamin E cream from a brand Debon Herbals.

Vitamin E has numerous skin benefits…

  • promotes healthy skin,
  • softens the skin,
  • protects skin from sun damage,
  • prevents skin aging and wrinkles…..

Vitamin E’s main role in cream or lotions is as an anti oxidant.

Here on the packaging of this cream you can see a picture of Avacado. Avacado’s are a good source of vitamin E.

Natural vitamin E provides anti oxidants that encourages healthy growth of new skin cells….

Avacado oil nourishes the skin and helps with dry skin conditions.

About Debon Herbals Vitamin E Cream – Made from natural Vitamin E. Has softening qualities, minimises wrinkles, blemishes, crows feet, rejuvenates and preserves youth.

Key Ingredients – Aloevera juice, vitamin E oil in cream base.

Price – 132rs for 100gms.

Size Available – 50gms /100gms/ 500gms

Availability – Flipkart, Amazon, purplle…

Directions of use – Apply little quantity of cream on the face or all over body and massage gently upon the applied area. Then wash off with plain or luke warm water.

My experience –

Packaging, Colour & ScentFirst of all the cream comes in tub packaging which makes it kinda messy to use. I wish it had tube/pump packaging. The cream is white in colour and has a thick consistency. The scent of the cream is like face powder. However after applying, the scent wears off.

What i feel after using this cream is, its suitable for people with dry skin. Current situation of my skin is dehydrated and i have live acne. So First when i applied on my entire face, the part of face where i have acne felt a bit greasy. Thereafter i concentrated only on dry areas. It felt quite moisturizing on the dry areas. Though the cream has a thick consistency, after applying it doesn’t feels heavy on the skin. It instantly softens the skin and keeps it hydrated very well. A little amount of cream goes a long way.

You can massage the cream on your face and wipe your face with wet towel to instantly get soft skin. You can also use it as a moisturizing cream however make sure you take little qty. Dont overload your face with it.

Do i recommend it? I recommend it for people with dry skin. I wouldn’t suggest it for oily skin.

Overall the product is good in terms of usage and price. Just one con of this product is that the brand hasn’t mentioned the entire ingredients list on the product.

I hope you guys liked my review. If you have any questions regarding this product feel free to comment below. You can also get in touch with me on INSTAGRAM

Red Rose 100% natural Tulsi Powder Review & DIY Tulsi facepack for oily skin

Hey guys i am back with a review and facepack recipe for oily skin and also for pimples & acne marks.

I am going to share 2 facepack recipes using tulsi powder. Before that let me tell you about the tulsi powder that i have used.

Tulsi Powder from the brand red rose.

The tulsi powder is mehndi green in colour.

This packet of 100gms is priced at 165rs. It has a shelf life of 2 years.

We all know that tulsi has bundle of benefits for skin. It is commonly and widely used in herbal and cosmetic products for its purifying, detoxifying and cleansing properties.

I have been using this tulsi powder for 2 weeks now. Like in 2 weeks i have used it 3-4 times on my face.

I tried using this with 2 different ingredients. One is multani mitti and the other is tomato juice.

Tulsi Powder and Multani Mitti facepack for oily skin-

1tbsp tulsi powder, 1tbsp multani mitti and little water or you can use rose water also. This facepack is beneficial for oily skin.

I have used multani mitti also from red rose brand. You can check it HERE

Tulsi Powder and tomato juice for fading acne marks –

1tbsp tulsi powder and tomato juice accordingly. Apply this paste and keep for 20 minutes. Then wash it off. It helps in reducing blemishes.

My Experience – When i used this powder At first i didn’t notice any results. But when i used 2-3 times i started loving it. I liked it more with tomato juice. My skin appears clean and fresh. But honestly i cant comment on the scar fading thing as of now. I have used just 3-4 times. May be prolonged use will help with fading marks. If in future i notice any results i will update about the same on this post.

While removing the facepack instead of washing i scrub it gently at first and then wash the rest with water. This way it feels more good on the skin.

Do i recommend it? Yes totally. Go for it. You wont be disappointed.

Tulsi powder can be used with so many other ingredients to make facepack that is suitable for your skin.

Debon Herbals Cleansing Milk Review

Hello Readers,

Today i am going to review a product from Debon Herbals. Its the Debon Herbals Cleansing Milk.

As we all know our body constantly excretes oil from its pores the skin gets clogged and deoxygenated which results in settling of bacteria and dust on our skin and causes formation of blackheads. So its very important that we use a good cleansing milk to keep our face impurity free.

Debon Herbals Cleansing Milk is a gentle milky cleanser formulated with ingredients Aloevera juice, Geranium oil and lemon oil in lotion base.

What the brand claims?

  • Cleans excess oil, bacteria, dirt and clogged pores.
  • Leaves skin invisibly lubricant and clean.

Price – 175rs for 300ml

Best Before 3 years from mfg date.

How to use?

Take a cotton swab and apply gently on face, neck and hands. Wipe off excessive dirt.

My Experience – This cleansing milk from Debon herbals is my current favourite for a number of reasons. The cleansing milk is gentle and effective at the same time. I use it to remove my makeup (not heavy makeup) and it effectively removes all traces of makeup. It frees the skin from dirt and excessive oil. Geranium oil present in it is known to balance the sebum production of skin. The smooth texture of cleansing milk makes it sure that the skin doesn’t gets harm due to friction while cleaning face or removing makeup. I love how it doesn’t leaves any oily residue behind. Its so comforting and moisturizing on the skin. Usually when i remove makeup or get home from work i first use this cleanser and then wash off my face with face wash. If i am at home then i just clean my face with this cleanser at night and skip using the face wash. It not only helps in removing dirt and impurities but also keeps the skin hydrated without a trace of stickiness.

I wish the brand had mentioned the entire ingredients list on the product.

Pros

  • Gentle yet effective
  • Non sticky
  • Doesn’t strips moisture off from skin
  • Keeps skin hydrated
  • Soothing fragrance
  • Easy on pocket
  • Product stays true to its claim

Cons

  • Entire ingredients list not mentioned on the product.

Do i recommend it? Yes totally. I love using this for its gentle, non sticky and doesn’t irritates my skin in any way.

Rating 4/5

Bornpretty Tinted Top Coat in shade Ultra volet Review

Hello Readers,

Today i am going to review a Top Coat from Born Pretty Store. Its a Tinted top coat from their Dreamy Heaven Series in shade Ultra Volet.

Born Pretty Dreamy Heaven Series Top Coat comes in 4 vivid hues red, orange, green and violet.

The violet one is the Ultra Volet Shade that i am reviewing.

The top coat comes in a small glass bottle with black cap.

Buy it from HERE

The texture of this top coat is similar to ordinary Top Coat.
It needs to apply separately at least 3 layers to show its color.
It is recommended to be used with sequins or color nail polish.

Shopping Haul- Hill road, Bandra

Hello Everyone😀

Last weekend i headed to hill road, bandra with my cousin for shopping. It was more like my cousin wanted to shop and i was just accompanying her. I had warned myself strictly that i wont buy a single thing but as usual i ended up buying a few things. After all how can one resist shopping.

#About Hill Road Shopping – Hill road is one of the most popular shopping street in mumbai. You will find many shops as well as illegal vendors selling branded and non branded items. You can get best of the clothing styles at reasonable rates. Everything from hair accessories to neck pieces and inner wear, sports wear, top and tees, shorts, jeans, footwear you will find everything and anything.

#Location For those who don’t know where is hill road – Hill Road is a road in Bandra west, Mumbai, India. It is 10 minutes away from Bandra railway station. If you want to know anything else you can always ask me in the comments below 🙂

So let me show all the things that i picked up from hill road, Bandra. 😀

1) Rose Embroidered shirt.

The first thing i picked up was this rose embroidered shirt. The shirt has a label of zara brand. I love the rose embroidery style. I have seen similar ones in the malls and online shopping sites which were priced between 750 to 1200. So when i saw this at hill road just for 200rs i immediately decided to buy this. The picture doesn’t do justice to this shirt. It’s much more good than in the picture and i love the quality and fit.

2) Yellow Gown dress

The only reason i picked this up was the colour. Its a ankle length dress priced at 400rs. The material is crepe. The yellow colour is so inviting and i couldn’t resist myself from buying it.

3) Blue Top

I loved the saying ‘Dont be negative’ and the colour. Priced at 200rs only. The top has a label of some F.Y.K brand.

4) Gap Navy Blue shorts

Picked up this shorts for just 200rs. The shorts have a label of gap brand. The quality was really good.

5) Orange Top

This one i picked up for 200rs. I loved the colour and design on it. Perfect for summers.

6) Grey Mini Dress

Its a woolen dress with 3/4th sleeves and choker attached at neck. The price was just 150rs for this one.

7) Stripes Shirt

Stripes are always in fashion. Picked up this shirt for just 150rs.

8) Peach Top

Oh yes! I love adventure and hence this top goes into my shopping bag😁 This one is priced at 200rs.

9) Fur Sliders

Lately i have seen many Instagram shopping pages selling this and i really wanted to have one. But the prices have been too high . So when i spotted this in bandra for just 200rs i quickly bought it. Its much more prettier than in the picture.

10) Slip On shoes

So while we were done with shopping and were heading to hogging we heard a vendor shout ‘sau rupaya’ ‘sau rupaya’ (100rs) and then we stopped again to look and there the vendor was selling all shoes for 100rs only. So i picked up this one. The shoe is quite comfortable. It may look old in the pic due to bad lighting but it was a good buy.

This is it. Shopping at hill road was fun. Since you can shop to your hearts content without burning a hole in your pocket 😁

Glamego Box February 2018: Unboxing & Review

Hello Readers,

The love month is here and so is my February glamego box. I have, in the earlier blog posts, introduced you all to glamego box. You can check it HERE. So i will just skip the introduction part.

This months Glamego Box is a white box with alphabets written in red all over it.

At first i was confused as to why those alphabets, since its love month and i was expecting some hearts and flowers kinda design on the box. It was when i opened the box and found a pamphlet mentioning a contest ‘ mark your loved ones middle/last name on the box and tag us’ then i realised the purposes of those alphabets. I actually loved this idea of packaging.

The box came with 4 products.

  1. Mcaffeine choco face pack. 25ml for rs 359.
  2. Kronokare pollution stop face 30 ml for rs 495.
  3. The nature’s co radiance face cream. 25ml for rs 550.
  4. Natural Bath and Body body mist. 200ml for rs 325.

The box is priced at 399rs for 1 month. They also have subscription plans. You can check them in previous post HERE

M caffeine Choco Glow Face Pack: I was so tempted to eat this face pack. Yes it looks and smells that delicious and chocolaty. It was very hard to resist not eating this face pack. Feels very good on the skin. The best product in this months box.

Kronokare Pollution Stop Face: I haven’t used this product yet. Its a product to protect your face against pollution. It is suitable for all skin types.

The Nature’s Co Radiance Face Cream: This is a Saffron Radiance face cream. It gets absorbed easily into the skin. It is non sticky so i love using this.

Natural Bath & Body body mist: I dont usually use Body mists. But this one from NBB was quite good. It has a faint light smell which was a huge relief to me, as i am sensitive to strong fragrances.

My Experience : I was very much happy with this months Glamego Box. As always the products were amazing. I was asked my skin type and according to that i got the product. I was even asked the choice of makeup product and facepack selection. I had opted for Bella Voste chubby stick and M caffeine choco facepack for dry skin. However instead of bella voste chubby stick i got the natural bath & body (NBB) body mist. I am not very much a fan of body mists. But still i liked this one from NBB. Not only this, the body mist had mfg date of jan 2017 which means the product was a year old. I dont prefer a product that is a year old. So to be honest that disappointed me. All other products had mfg date of dec 2017. I tried all the products except the kronokare product. All the products were super amazing and my skin loves them.

Is the Glamego Box worth subscribing? Definitely YES

Why is it worth subscribing?

  • Easy on pocket
  • You get more then what you paid for
  • Products from premium beauty brands
  • The box lets you try different products and this way you get to know whether a product is worth purchasing or not.

So what are you waiting for. Go ahead and subscribe to GlamEgo Box

Contest Alert: As i told you earlier they have this contest ‘mark your loved ones middle/last name on the box and tag us’. You get to win Rs 10000 shoppers stop voucher. So hurry up get your box and participate in the contest.

Yami Herbals Homemade Skin Brightening Face Pack & Traditional Hair Oil Review

Hello Readers,

Recently i was looking out for homemade beauty products and stumbled upon Yami Herbals which makes 100% Natural homemade products and that’s when i decided to try them.

You all may not be familiar with Yami Herbals, so i am going to tell you a little about the brand. Based in Tamilnadu, YAMI HERBALS makes and sells personal care products that are kind to your skin and the environment. Their skin and haircare recipes are inspired by traditions that are slowly being forgotten, but are presented with a modern twist. All their products are natural, vegetarian, affordable, and made with love and care.

Products include traditional herbal hair oil, hair pack, baby bath powder , skin polishing Scrubs, skin brightening facepack and Shikakaai hair wash powder.

Here i am going to talk about two products from Yami herbals – Skin Brightening Face pack and Traditional hair oil.

Currently my hair and face skin are going through a bad phase and hence my looking out for homemade products. Read on to know my experience with yami herbal products…

Yami Herbals Skin brightening face pack –

The face pack is in powder form and is a mixture of badam, pista, potato starch, whole green gram, cucumber seeds, orange peel, pudina leaves, cinnamon, oats, samba wheat and aavarampoo.

Suitable for all skin types

Priced at 200rs fir 100gms.

Best before 1 year from mfg date.

How to use – Mix the pack with curd or milk and make a thin paste. Apply and scrub gently all over the face. Wait for 10mins and then wash off with warm water and massage with ice cube.

My experience – To be honest, i always have to think twice before putting anything on my face but given that yami herbals face pack contains ingredients which are 100% natural i didn’t hesitate to use it. I am using this face pack twice in a week. And no i didn’t get brighter skin. But the face pack does benefits my skin. It sweeps away impurities and reveals a smoother skin. It doesn’t dries out my skin nor makes it oily. So whether you have dry, oily or sensitive skin this face mask will definitely help you. Its not going to make your skin bright overnight but yes it does lifts up skin. My skin feels healthy and fresh. The ingredients present in the face pack are very beneficial for the skin.

Yami herbals traditional hair oil-

Priced at 460rs for 100gms.

Best before 1 year from mfg date

The hair oil is a blend of 12 herbals that are useful in strengthening and prevents greying of hair naturally.

My experienceLately my hair have been extremely dry and my hairfall has increased. I have tried a few solutions like changing my shampoo and hair oil. Currently using the yami herbals hair oil. I started using this hair oil 20 days ago and having applied twice in a week so far i noticed that my hairfall is a little less but it didn’t help with the ‘dry hair’ thing. It does helps with the dandruff problem. I cant comment on the greying thing. May be this hair oil will work excellent for those having oily hair. Being a herbal formulation the smell of the oil is bit turn off. I am going to give some more time to this product to see if it helps with my dry hair problem.

Overall i loved the Yami Herbal products since by using them i am giving my skin the treatment it deserves.

GLAMISHA: Facewash & Skin Lightening Cream Review

Hello Readers,

Recently i came across a new brand Glamisha. Based in Mumbai the brand brings you luxury beauty and personal care products. All their product have pure ingredients, essential oils and extract, which are used to make their product highly effective and yet gentle.

Today i am going to review two products from Glamisha – A face wash & Skin Lightening Cream.

I know i have been a little late in reviewing these products. But i wanted to put a down a genuine review. So i used these products for a good 2-3 weeks and i now i am super ready to review it for you all 🙂

Lets start with the review of face wash first 🙂

Glamisha Face wash with Mulberry and Licorice Extract-

Packaging –  The face wash comes inside a white squeezable tube with a black flip cap. The tube comes inside a cardboard  box. All the information has been mentioned both on the box and the tube.

Appearance –  The face wash is transparent gel type and has light blue undertones. It has medium consistency. The smell is a bit strong but refreshing. Honestly i dont like strong smell products but i love the fragrance of this one.

Ingredients The face wash is paraben free. But contains SLS & SLES.

Price 350rs for 100ml

Shelf Life  2years from mfg date

My Experience – With ingredients like Mulberry and licorice i was kinda excited to try the facewash. So as soon i got the products i started using them. The face wash is extremely gentle on the face and creates just the right amount of lather. A small peanut size amount is all you need. But If i am coming home after a long day then usually i require a little more amount of face wash. It does the cleansing well without irritating the skin. It removes dirt and oilyness enhancing the appearance of skin. It makes my skin soft and supple without excessive drying. Mulberry extract present in the facewash acts as a super anti anging agent. Licorice extracts are rich in anti oxidants. They impart a healthy glow to the skin. Overall a good facewash.

GLAMISHA Skin Lightening Cream with kojic acid dipalmitate & Arbutin Review

Packaging – The Skin Lightening Cream comes inside a white squeezable tube with a black flip cap. The tube comes inside a cardboard  box. All the information has been mentioned both on the box and the tube.

Appearance – The cream is white in colour and has a medium consistency. It has a strong but soothing refreshing fragrance and the fragrance lasts upto quite some time. Say about an hour.

Ingredients –  It is Paraben free. Contains SLS.

 Price 975rs for 100gm.

 Shelf life 17months.

My experience –  I use this cream after washing my face with Glamisha’s Face wash. On applying the cream it takes a while to get fully absorbed into the skin. The cream needs to be massaged properly so that it doesn’t leaves any whitish cast on the skin. Its texture turns bit matte when you start applying it and hence it needs to be massaged thoroughly to help it get absorbed into the skin. My skin feels so soft after applying it. It makes my skin appear a little fair and healthy also. I did not notice any major oilyness on my skin after applying it. Also the fragrance of the cream stays on for quite some time which i love it. Both Kojic Acid Dipalmitate and Arbutin present in the cream acts a skin whitening and Lightening agent. Kojic acid also helps with dark spots and sun damage. I think this will work best for oily skin beauties.

So thats all 🙂 If you have any questions or suggestions  about the products do comment below.
